Sweet and refreshing after a warm summer's day with a twist.

When you think of summer your mind takes to lemon trees in the hot Italian countryside. Lemonade is not difficult or time-consuming to make but it is the most satisfying especially when you are in the sun letting the day pass by you. Lemons are such a versatile fruit they have a multitude of benefits, both health and environmental.
Over the years people have added new herbs and species to their lemonade. I prefer the classic lemonade but adding rosemary has completely changed my opinion. Tasting it feels like traveling to a sunny veranda on the Italian coast.

In your jug add ice and pour your lemon-rosemary mixture in then add 3 cups of water and stir together.
To serve add ice to a glass lemon wedge and a sprig of rosemary. Enjoy!
There are many ways to adapt this recipe, adding lavender instead of rosemary can be a delicious alternative. Homemade Lemon is best when it is made fresh so I would advise consuming it within 24 hours. I also advise that you drink this on a warm summer's day; outside with your friends and family. In the directions, it did say to set your used lemons aside well check out my Zero Waste options for used lemons.
